Robert Ghelasi, has over 28 years of corporate and investment banking experience working with important local and international banks and also large local energy companies including producers and traders of electricity active on the Romanian market, among which are: Romanian Bank for Foreign Trade, Commercial Bank of Greece (actual Credit Agricole), Société Générale (actual BRD), Alpha Bank, Capital Partners (actual BT Capital Partners).
Mr. Ghelasi’s banking expertise spans multiple industries, such as: power, oil and gas, renewable energy, carbon trading, waste management, telecom, automotive, leasing, real estate, hotel; however Robert Ghelasi’s experience recommends him as energy financing specialist since his role in Alpha Bank Romania has been indissolubly related to the creation, development and management of the energy business in the period 2001-2010, being an active part in elevating the bank from 10th place in year 2000 to an honorable 4th place in the Romanian Banking system in 2008.
In 28 years of banking experience he has successfully closed capital and lending transactions of app. EUR 1 billion.

Mr. Ghelasi holds an university degree in Economics from the Academy of Economic Studies Bucharest since 1993.
He is author of articles and reports on energy matters published in local newspapers such as: Financial Newspaper, Romanian Wall Street Journal, Business Digest, Business Review, Finmedia, The Diplomat and also speaker in selected seminars, conferences, and energy-user groups both locally and abroad.

During the period January 2011 until Sep 2012 he was Director of Energy Department at Capital Partners (the largest Romanian independent investment banking company, being in charge with coordinating all Energy-related projects in the fields of M&A and Corporate Finance (debt-, mezzanine-, and equity-financing included).
During the period October 2012 until March 2014 he was Senior Energy Business Development Director at Tinmar Ind SA (one of largest Romanian private electricity supplier and trader) being in charge with coordinating all debt and capital raising activities both for TINMAR Ind and for E-RES projects developed by the group.
Starting with April 2014 he is the CEO of Energie Finanzierung und Kapital SRL – a boutique investment banking firm specialized on M&A and Corporate Finance services dedicated exclusively for the renewable energy industry.
Mr. Ghelasi holds an university degree in Economics from the Academy of Economic Studies Bucharest since 1993.
