EFK was represented at the Intersolar Europe Exhibition 2022, which took place between May 11–13 in Munich, Germany. Intersolar Europe is the world’s leading exhibition for the solar industry, with over 900 exhibitors including suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, start-ups, system integrators, installers, investors, developers, producers, EPC contractors and banks. Intersolar took place as part of The smarter E Europe exhibition, parallel to the three energy exhibitions: ees Europe, Power2Drive Europe and EM-Power Europe, where over 50,000 visitors were expected. EFK presented Romania as a currently unparalleled investment opportunity for Eastern Europe, with over 18bEUR of EU grants approved for renewable energy over the next 8 years. With a favorable status as EU and NATO member, as well as a 6.3% GDP growth in 2021 – highest in the EU – and an ambitious RES target of an additional 7GW (34%) by 2030, Romania is one of the few eastern European countries with approved EU funding for renewable energy projects.
